so many thoughts. first i've had a slew of injuries and swimming does make sense for me as a form of exercise but it just feels like such a commitment. Second, I'm excited to see this move to Portugal and follow on that journey, I hope you plan on writing about it all!
Just got out of the pool and not gonna lie, I hate/love lap swimming. I started writing about the Portugal journey while living there in May/June. If so inclined, take a look at those early posts. Now I’m embroiled in bureaucracy and decluttering (which I’ve written about). Less interesting than drinking caipirinhas on the beach for sure. Stay tuned for more fun stuff when we return in Feb. Let’s plan our Seattle Substackers gathering too.
Reminds me of a frequent nightmare during my swim dad year(s): a voice announcer “this is heat 1 of 47, event 96, 400 meter backstroke.”
You've put me off that kind of swimming for good!
Getting hold of really good plums is such a rare luxury.
Because of this post, a friend gave me plums from her tree, so I got to make another plum cake!
I need to write a post about ripe fruit! 😆
Yes!!!
