Paring down is hard! All the best to you as you go through that (sometimes painful) process. I’m excited for your move—cancer can sometimes make us more determined than ever to follow our dreams. Looking forward to your posts from Portugal!
It is painful to part with beautiful cookery books that seduced us. Some, I find, were more eye candy and hardly a recipe was tried. I do have Turquoise myself, and it’s got style and substance, but it’s awfully big. Your circle of friends in Portugal are in for some magnificent meals. Lucky ducks!

This is the most wonderful way of walking through your memory. What gorgeous food. So excited for your forthcoming adventure!
My husband and I had to pare down when we moved to the UK 20 years ago. It's tough but also freeing, right?
I’m writing another piece about it now. Definitely illuminating
Oh those cookbooks! They're so heavy but so wonderful. We've given away many of the years.

I hope you and Cemal will visit us!
I'm looking forward to reading about your cooking IN Portugal!
YAY Alison, you're finally doing it! So glad that the time is drawing near, and looking forward to reports whenever you have them
Thanks! Still waiting for visa approval and treatment continues till mid-December. But shit’s getting real!
