Narrative medicine is the new support group. Brilliant.

Thank you for sharing with this community as well. Anything to help the healing. 🙏

I think this so valuable... Your story is riveting. The "Changed Knowledge:" workshop looks incredible--so exactly what happens.

I loved reading this. It never can erase what you're going through; I'm glad, though, that narrative medicine exists, a way to bring us back to remembering that we're all part of a whole, complex *something* rather than discrete parts.

Alison, this is right up my alley! Love to learn more about it, and possibly interview some of the key players for Womancake. Sending love and healing vibes, and LMK when you're ready to do your own interview :)

Yes!!! I will reach out this week. You’ll love these two doctors who run the Interstitium. They’d be great interviewees!

You need to check out Dr. Glaucomflecken, who makes house calls on YouTube and TikTok. IRL he's an opthamologist who has twice survived testicular cancer and a heart attack, all before he was 40. You'll especially love his take on the health insurance mercenaries. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYDVFfp_AN1WBiNwaf9522w
